Fuel Tank Development and Design
Re-designing and fitting a fuel tank must be done in sympathy with the fundamental design of the automobile so that it is not an obvious deviation from the original model.
The design and development of new fuel tanks in steel or aluminium for both cars & motor bikes is important as a larger capacity enables historic cars to travel longer distances than they were originally designed to do and the metal in many old fuel tanks is rusted or decayed as a result of age.
The fuel tanks must first be shaped by way of a welded wire metal frame and the outer casing is formed around this.
